Facebook new feature to let users curate their newsfeedMay 8, 2015 - 11:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Facebook is trailing a new feature that gives users greater control over the content they see in their News Feed, Digital Spy reports. An algorithm currently decides which content is given prominent placement, but those who are chosen for the test will be able to manually override it. The new feature presents users with a list of their friends and 'liked' pages, and allows them to select which ones always appear at the top of their feed. Facebook appears to be choosing participants at random, and is yet to confirm when the service will be rolled out to the wider community. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Facebook is lining up a bid for Nokia's Here Maps service after integrating the latter's data with its services. The mapping service is valued at around $2 billion, and has also attracted interest from Samsung, Apple, Yahoo and Uber.
