PanARMENIAN.Net - The first official picture of Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight" is unveiled. It sees Samuel L. Jackson as Major Marquis Warren, a union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, Kurt Russell as bounty hunter John Ruth, and Jennifer Jason Leigh as his fugitive Daisy Domergue, AceShowbiz reports.

Published on the front page of Entertainment Weekly's latest issue, the image shows the trio wearing layered outfits and gloves for cold weather. Leigh sports what seems to be a black eye and has her hand chained to Russell's. Both men are armed with guns.

"For me it has more of a Western Iceman Cometh kind of vibe about it," director Tarantino says of the film. "A bunch of guys in a room who can't trust each other. That wasn't a marching order when I sat down to write the script, but pretty quickly I realized this is kind of a nice coming-full-circle."

The film follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.

Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Channing Tatum, and Bruce Dern are among the cast members. It is expected to be released later this year.
