PanARMENIAN.Net - Sia has long proved her talent for writing sweeping, dramatic pop songs, but the star can also do the same when covering a classic track. The singer-songwriter has transformed 1965 song 'California Dreamin'' into an epic Hollywood soundtrack for upcoming disaster film San Andreas, Digital Spy reports.

Originally recorded by The Mamas & the Papas, the new version soars with rousing strings, dramatic drum beats and Sia's haunting tone.

San Andreas stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, Carla Gugino, Colton Haynes, Ioan Gruffudd and Kylie Minogue.

The screenplay was written by Lost's Carlton Cuse and will be in cinemas from May 29.

Meanwhile, Sia recently teamed up with legendary Italian producer Giorgio Moroder for massive mirrorball anthem 'Déjà Vu'.
