Google “to add 'buy now' button to search results”May 18, 2015 - 10:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Google's rumoured 'buy now' button could launch within weeks, according to a new report. As Digital Spy reports, the Wall Street Journal claims that the tech giant will only begin testing the service on a limited number of users initially. The 'buy now' button will apparently be available on mobile searches only - to begin with, at least. They will also only appear alongside paid search ads near sponsored search results and not among the standard search results. When a user taps the button, they will be taken directly to another Google page where they can fill out their purchase details and place their order. However, products will continue to come from third parties and not Google itself, much like its Google Shopping page. Instead, the 'buy now' feature is aimed at keeping everything running through Google, rather than directing customers to seller's individual websites. Google reportedly has Macy's among its first retailers to use the feature at launch. Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
