UEFA President says player transfer rules can be eased

PanARMENIAN.Net - UEFA President Michel Platini says rules limiting spending on player transfers and wages could be eased next month, the Associated Press reports.

Platini told French broadcaster RTL in comments aired Monday, May 18, that the UEFA executive committee could relax some Financial Fair Play regulations. The executive committee will meet on June 29-30 in Prague.

UEFA has had regular talks with European clubs since October about modifying the rules, which first sanctioned clubs last season for overspending.

UEFA and the European Club Association declined to comment Monday on details of any proposed changes.
