HTC likely planning new Desire series smartphone: reportMay 26, 2015 - 10:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - HTC could be planning a new Desire series smartphone, IBTimes reports citing prolific Twitter leakstar, @upleaks. The Taiwanese smartphone vendor has introduced a number of smartphones this year catering different segments of the markets, including the flagship, One M9 and a few additions in the Desire line-up. While recently Jack Tong, HTC North Asia president has announced that the company does not have plans to bring out a mini model of One M9, like the previous One M7 and M8, there seems to be a new HTC Desire with model number A50C in the pipeline. The list published by upleaks containing the hardware and software features of HTC A50C, suggests the handset could be of the upper-end Desire model, IBTimes says. The handset is expected to sport a 5.5in HD display and MediaTek MT6753T octa core processor, coupled with 2GB RAM. There would be a 13 megapixel (Samsung S5K3L2XX) rear camera and a 5MP (Samsung S5K5E2YA) front-facing camera. As for the software side, it would run Android 5.0 Lollipop and Desire Sense version 7.0. Among other notable features are the dual SIM support and 16GB storage. Currently, the device has been listed for Chinese consumers, with no details about the global availability.
