PanARMENIAN.Net - Showtime has ordered more episodes of "Twin Peaks" revival. Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee, who portrayed Audrey Horne and Laura Palmer respectively on the original series, revealed during a "Twin Peaks" panel at Crypticon in Seattle over the weekend that the upcoming series would consist of 18 episodes, instead of just 9 episodes, AceShowbiz reports.

The actresses also said that the revival would feature brand new music composed by Angelo Badalamenti. Meanwhile, Twede's Cafe in North Bend, WA, where the original series was shot, is being restored as the original Double R Diner set.

Previously, Showtime president David Nevins said when announcing that co-creator David Lynch was back working on the project, "David will direct the whole thing which will total more than the originally announced nine hours. Preproduction starts now!!"

In addition to Fenn and Lee, original stars Kyle MacLachlan and Dana Ashbook are on board the revival. The new series will be set in the present day and is promised to "continue the lore of the original series." It is expected to premiere in 2016.
