Beyonce, Angelina Jolie on Forbes list of world's most powerful women

PanARMENIAN.Net - Forbes has listed 100 names for the world's most powerful women of 2015, placing German chancellor Angela Merkel at the top spot. Hollywood biggest names like Beyonce Knowles, Angelina Jolie, and Taylor Swift also make the list, AceShowbiz reports.

Queen Bey is ranked 21, Jolie occupies the 54th place, and Swift sits at No. 64. Oprah Winfrey is at No. 12, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour sits at No. 28, Ellen DeGeneres at No. 50, Sofia Vergara at No. 57, and Shakira at No. 81.

Hillary Clinton who is running for president in 2016 is the world's second most-powerful woman, according to Forbes. The wife of former U.S. president Bill Clinton is followed by Melinda Gates. Meanwhile, the current First Lady Michelle Obama rounds up the top 10 and Queen Elizabeth II sits at No. 41.

The people listed this year are "all at the top of their game and are committed to inspiring change," Forbes says. "These women are entertainers and newsmakers, but they're also ambassadors for meaningful causes and entrepreneur." Lady Gaga and Gisele Bundchen who were featured last year didn't make the list this year.
