Defense Minister: our victories are ever-lasting

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian victories and heroism can be seen today as well. It is the soldiers’ heroism on the frontline, Armenia’s Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan stated as he visited the Sardarapat memorial complex on the occasion of May victories, Tert.am reports.

“I would not say we have not had victories in recent time. These are victories we have gained since the Artsakh liberation movement. Our victories are ever-lasting, with our soldiers committing acts of heroism on the frontline every day,” Ohanyan said.

Commenting on grave social conditions in Armenia, Ohanyan said: “Our people have never lived a carefree life, they have always experienced difficulties. In this respect, our nation is a nation of heroes.”

“The best heroic chapters of Armenian history – Gharaqilis, Bash-Aparan and others – had their continuation in the liberation of Shushi and Nagorno Karabakh war.

That was possible only due to loyalty, ideological background and patriotism for Armenia and Artsakh,” he said.

Commander of the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army Movses Hakobyan spoke to reporters at the Sardarapat memorial complex.

It is the people of Nagorno Karabakh that will resolve the Nagorno Karabakh problem. And they have proved that no one else can resolve it.

“People are well informed and can learn lessons. And nothing should be forced on the people of Karabakh,” Hakobyan said.

Dwelling on the First Republic Day celebrations, Hakobyan said he is proud of the battle that inaugurated further victories of the Armenian people.
