Spotify coming to Android Wear in June

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spotify has announced that it is launching an official app for Android Wear devices next month, letting users DJ from their wrists, Digital Spy reports.

The update will roll out gradually throughout June and allow Spottily account holders to browse and play music from their wearable device.

"Today we're thrilled to let you know that Spotify will be coming to Android Wear," said Spotify in a blog post.

"With Spotify on your wrist, you'll be able to seamlessly browse and play music on the go - without ever having to pick up your phone. Navigate through Your Music and play the music you like, or Browse to discover something new."

Spotify is quite the coup for Android Wear, given that the Swedish music giant is yet to announce a companion app for rival device the Apple Watch.

It is yet to be confirmed whether Android Wear support will be limited to premium Spotify subscribers or free for all.
