Microsoft Lumia 940 XL Windows 10's flagship phone?

PanARMENIAN.Net - We finally have a release date for Windows 10 on PCs, and now it looks as though details about the operating system's flagship smartphone have been leaked, Digital Spy reports.

NokiaPowerUser claims to have obtained specs details for a handset called the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL, the successor to last year's Lumia 930.

The device is said to feature a slim, metallic unibody design, which houses an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

The Lumia 940 XL is also listed with a 5.7-inch QHD display, a 20-megapixel camera on the rear, and a 5-megapixel camera on the front, putting it in line with the latest Android devices.

Furthermore, the handset has been tipped to include biometric security in the form of an iris scanner, micro-SD support, and a USB-C slot.

Microsoft is expected to release the device alongside a smaller model without the XL suffix, as was the case with the Lumia 640 XL.

Windows 10 will be released for PCs on July 29, but a launch date for the mobile version of the operating system is yet to be announced.
