Samsung's Galaxy Tab S2 set to become world's thinnest tablet

PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung's Galaxy Tab S boasted a svelte design, but the device's successor is set to go one better by claiming the title of world's thinnest tablet, Digital Spy reports.

Details about the Galaxy Tab S2 were leaked after two versions of the Android slate passed through China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre, reports Tech Times.

The tablet is expected to come in 8-inch and 9.7-inch size variants, with the former measuring in at just 198 x 134 x 5.4mm, making it slimmer than any of its competitors.

Weighing in at 260g, the 8-inch Galaxy Tab S2 was also listed with an AMOLED display with a resolution of 1536 x 1048, as well as an octa-core processor running at 1.9GHz, 4G connectivity and 3GB of RAM.

It is also said to include an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, a 2-megapixel camera on the front, and 16GB of internal storage.

Specs details for the larger tablet were not disclosed, but they are expected to be similar to the 8-inch edition.

The Galaxy Tab S2 is expected to be officially announced this summer.
