The trailer gives fans glimpses of the outer space and the characters in astronaut costumes, AceShowbiz reports. Highligthing a mission to rescue an astronaut who is stranded in Mars, the trailer delivers a message of helping each other in the opening. If an earthquake levels a city, people all over the world send emergency supplies," someone says in voiceover. It continues with Jeff Daniels' character explaining that a crew of astronauts who venture to Mars get caught in a storm. After the accident, astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is considered dead. It turns out that Watney is still alive as he wakes up all alone on the red planet. He tries to survive on the hostile planet, where nothing grows, by planting to get food supply. He then sends a message to NASA on Earth and calls for help even if it requires four years for them to reach him. "The Martian" is based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir. The movie also stars Jessica Chastain, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Kristen Wiig. Directed by Ridley Scott, it is slated for a release in U.S. theaters on November 25.
