Cycling champ Lance Armstrong bio "The Program" unveils 1st trailer (video)  June 11, 2015 - 14:07 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - It is nearly two years after the first image from Stephen Frears' Lance Armstrong biopic "The Program" arrived. Now, the first international trailer for the movie has been released. The trailer offers glimpses of the disgraced cycling champion on his glorious days before his doping scandal broke, AceShowbiz reports. Although the trailer is dubbed in Germany, it still gives ideas about the plotlines of the movie. It shows David Walsh (Chris O'Dowd), a sports journalist, interviewing Armstrong (Ben Foster) while offering a scene where Armstrong successfully becomes a tournament champion. Meanwhile, it gives a look at Armstrong's doping scandal as he is seen holding a press conference seemingly to deny the rumor. "The Program" is based on Walsh's nonfiction book entitled "Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong". Walsh is the one whose investigation helped expose Armstrong's drug use. Foster leads the cast which also includes Jesse Plemons, Lee Pace and Dustin Hoffman, Guillaume Canet, Bryan Greenberg, Elaine Cassidy, J.D. Evermore, Laura Donnelly and Lasco Atkins. John Hodge ("Trainspotting") writes the script while Stephen Frears served as director. Tim Bevan produces the movie alongside Eric Fellner, Tracey Seaward and Kate Solomon. The film will open October 8 in Germany. No U.S. release date has been set just yet.
