Spotify becomes music time machineJune 16, 2015 - 10:57 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Spotify has launched a new online service that turns your account into a music time machine, Digital Spy reveals. Taste Rewind accesses the user's music collection and suggests similar artists from bygone eras, arranged into playlists by decade. The service has been given its own dedicated site, which asks users to nominate three of their favourite artists when they log in. It will then timeshift their music library based on those choices and allow them to share the suggested songs or add them to their Spotify library. Spotify is facing heightened competition in the music streaming sector following the launch of rival service Apple Music. However, the Swedish firm is in good stead to retain its position as market leader, with the latest figures suggesting it has more than 75,000 active users.
