Ameriabank gets Innovative Company of the Year prize

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Ameriabank was awarded the DigiBusiness prize in the Innovative Company of the Year category by DigiTec 2015 Forum, the Union of Information Technology Enterprises of Armenia (UITE), the organizer of the gathering, said, according to ARKA.

DigiBusiness prize was awarded in various categories to companies operating outside the IT industry, which successfully use IT solutions in their everyday activity.

UITE said the annual contest is designed to attract companies which use latest IT technology and showcase it to the public at large. It said these companies will serve as a good example for their colleagues.

The eighth annual DigiTec Business Forum 2015 themed "smart solutions for smart business" was held in Yerevan on June 19-20. It was attended by more than 70 companies. The purpose of the annual event is promotion of entrepreneurship in the sector of information technology, creation of conditions to obtain information on the latest technological solutions and exchange of experience.

The two-day forum featured plenary sessions, business presentations, exhibitions, seminars, round tables, meetings with local and international entrepreneurs, experts and representatives of government agencies.

This year’s event featured tourism, trade, agriculture, construction, mining sector, financial and banking sectors, e-commerce, health, education and transport. The event was held under the high patronage of Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

The Union of Information Technology Enterprises of Armenia (UITE) was founded in 2000 to protect the economic interests of IT companies and promote research in the field of IT.
