Yahoo search becomes more like GoogleJune 29, 2015 - 12:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yahoo wants its search engine to attract a user base to rival that of Google - and its latest update on mobile takes it cues from the Android firm, Digital Spy reports. The internet giant has overhauled its mobile search site to put relevant results and supplemental information front and centre, kind of like what Google has been doing since time immemorial. Yahoo Search will now present you with relevant follow-up information to your initial search so you don't have to trawl through a string of websites to plan your evening. For instance, if your query relates to a restaurant in New York, the search engine will serve you with reviews for said eatery and a link to book a table. "Yahoo has served as your guide to the web, and we're thrilled to reach this milestone in our efforts to bring you the best search experience possible," said Yahoo product chief Andrew Poon. "We look forward to continuing to learn from and with you as we work hard to make it even better." The update is currently limited to users in the US, with Yahoo yet to confirm when it will be rolled out globally.
