Apple to increase iTunes Match song limit to 100,000 tracks

PanARMENIAN.Net - iTunes Match's song limit will be quadrupled following the launch of the iOS 9 operating system in the autumn, according to Digital Spy.

Customers will see their iCloud song storage limit increased from 25,000 to 100,000 tracks when the update lands.

Apple's Eddy Cue broke the news on Twitter after being quizzed about how iTunes Match will integrate with Apple Music.

The streaming service will essentially include iTunes Match as it will pair and upload any songs the user owns to the cloud so they can access them anywhere.

This even works for songs and albums that are not included on Apple Music, with users able to purchase them from third-party sources and manually upload them.

Apple Music will be available from tomorrow (June 30).
