Nia Vardalos took to Instagram on Saturday, June 27 to mark the end of the principal photography on the sequel to 2002's "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", AceShowbiz reports. The 52-year-old actress shared a photo of her smiling widely on the set of the sequel. She wore a black long-sleeved top with lacy details and a pair of long earrings. "Ahhh, just wrapped #MyBigFatGreekWedding2, thank you splendid cast & crew," she wrote alongside the snap. On Friday, Nia posted a photo of her and John Corbett on the set of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2". The "Connie and Carla" actress smiled widely with her hair styled in voluminous curls while the former "Sex and the City" actor went shirtless to show off his ripped body. She captioned it, "Is someone trying to get baptized again in #MyBigFatGreekWedding2 ?" Back in May 2014, Nia tweeted that she was writing the script for "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2". She wrote, "I'm working on the MBFGWedding sequel; now that I'm experiencing motherhood I feel ready to write this next chapter." She said it took four years to write the story that follows "the reveal of a family secret and a new wedding, described as bigger and fatter, that brings the Greek clan together again."
