Guillermo del Toro exits

PanARMENIAN.Net - Guillermo del Toro will no longer direct "Justice League Dark" which is also known as "Dark Universe". Insiders tell The Hollywood Reporter that the "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" director, who is finishing "Crimson Peak" and prepping "Pacific Rim 2", is no longer attached to the project.

As AceShowbiz reports, the news of Guillermo's exit come along with a story of Warner Bros. reshuffling their DC comic book properties. The studio has moved Joseph Gordon-Levitt's comic book adaptation of "Sandman" along with other potential films developed from Vertigo Comics titles to New Line.

Other DC projects involving superheroes like Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash will remain in WB. "Justice League Dark" is also staying at the studio's banner. According to the site, " 'Dark' consists of DC's supernatural heroes such as Constantine, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, and Deadman among others. In the past, Constantine and Swamp Thing and some of those ilk had their own titles published under the Vertigo imprint but have since been integrated into the DC Universe. The movie version will attempt the same."

Guillermo hasn't commented on the report yet. His next film "Crimson Peak" starring Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam and Jim Beaver is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on October 16.
