Elisabeth Moss psychological thriller “Queen of Earth” release date setJuly 3, 2015 - 15:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - IFC Films will release Elisabeth Moss’ psychological thriller “Queen of Earth” starting Aug. 26 in New York, followed by a national rollout, TheWrap reports. “Queen of Earth,” which premiered in February at the Berlin Film Festival, centers on Moss’ character dealing with the death of her father and being dumped by her boyfriend while attempting to relax at the lake house of her best friend, played by Katherine Waterston. Relaxation proves impossible to find as fissures in the relationship between the two women begin to appear and Moss’s character suffers a breakdown. Alex Ross Perry directed and produced with Joe Swanberg and Adam Piotrowicz. Patrick Fugit also stars. Variety‘s Scott Foundas gave the film a strong review, calling it “unnerving” and “acidly funny.” IFC picked up the U.S. rights in April.
