Armenian FM: agreement between Iran, world powers important

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia hails the nuclear deal, reached as a result of purposeful and constructive efforts by Iran and the world powers, RA Foreign Minister said.

“This long-awaited agreement is an important achievement, promoting international and regional stability and strengthening of cooperation,” Edward Nalbandian said.

“We hope that this will serve as a stimulus for further trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and friendly Iran, as well as the implementation of joint projects,” he added.

Iran and six major world powers reached a nuclear deal on Tuesday, July 14, capping more than a decade of negotiations with an agreement that could transform the Middle East, and which Israel called an "historic surrender".

Under the deal, sanctions imposed by the United States, European Union and United Nations would be lifted in return for Iran agreeing long-term curbs on a nuclear program that the West has suspected was aimed at creating a nuclear bomb.
