Nickelback cancel entire European tour

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nickelback have cancelled their entire European tour, including eight shows in the UK in November, Gigwise reports.

The band were set to kick off the UK leg of their tour in Sheffield on 13 November, before heading to Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Nottingham, ending up at London's Wembley Arena at the end of the month.

They've now cancelled all of these dates, as well as dozens of shows scheduled for mainland Europe, citing an operable cyst on Chad Kroeger's vocal cords, which will require "an extended period of recovery in order to head completely."

A statement on the band's website reads, "Most of all, we are sorry to miss our fans out on the road this fall, but Chad’s health, healing and full recovery are what is most important right now.

"With the proper amount of time, we hope to have him back stronger and better than ever before. We thank everyone for their support and understanding during this time and look forward to getting back out on the road and playing music for everyone again real soon."
