Blink-182's Mark Hoppus joins Mumford & Sons for Eurythmics cover

PanARMENIAN.Net - Mumford & Sons created a temporary supergroup with Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, The Vaccines and Jack Garratt while performing a cover of Eurythmics' 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)', Gigwise reports.

The band have been covering the 1983 single, originally written and performed by Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart's new wave duo Eurythmics, since they debuted it during a Maida Vale session last month.

On August 18, they stepped things up a gear when they were joined on-stage by tour mates Jack Garratt and The Vaccines, as well as Blink-182's Mark Hoppus (for reasons unknown).

Mumford & Sons released their third studio album, Wilder Mind, back in May, when it topped both the U.S. and the UK albums chart.

The band are headlining Reading & Leeds next weekend. Both festivals take place between 28-30 August.
