The Weeknd's duet with Lana Del Rey “Prisoner” lands online

PanARMENIAN.Net - Another preview of The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" is here. "Prisoner", which features guest vocals from Lana Del Rey, found its way out online on Friday, August 21, just a week before the album arrives, AceShowbiz reports.

The slow-tempo and gloomy ballad sounds like something from Tesfaye's old mixtape or album. Over the dark beat, he sings about his drug and party-filled lifestyle. He admits in the chorus, "I'm a prisoner to my addiction/ I'm addicted to a life that's so empty and so cold."

Del Rey joins him later to deliver the second verse about how she loves Hollywood that has changed her in a bad way. "I think I've been in Hollywood for too long/ Cause I can feel my soul burning, feel it burning slow/ But I would be nothing without the touch/ I feel the rush and it's amazing," she says.

Having spawned big hits like "Earned It", "The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face", Tesfaye's "Madness" album is due out on August 28. In addition to Del Rey, he worked with Ed Sheeran and Kanye West on the follow-up to 2013's "Kiss Land".
