Vine adds Shazam-like song tagging, loop creation features

PanARMENIAN.Net - Vine has thrown down the gauntlet to Shazam with a music-centric update that places new tools at users' fingertips, according to Digital Spy.

The Twitter-owned video network has added a Shazam-like song tagging feature and a tool for creating seamless audio loops.

Exclusive to iOS for the time being, Snap to Beat helps Viners create "perfect" or "seamless loops" that continuously play without glitching.

"Music has been part of Vine's culture since the beginning," said the Vine team in a blog post.

"From rising musicians who entertain us to creators all over the world who remix and hypnotise us with their collaborations, we see time and again that when artists turn Vine into their stage, their talent reaches far beyond the app."

Featured Tracks, which lets users identify what music is playing without Shazam, is available on iOS and Android devices.
