Steve Carell to replace Bruce Willis in Woody Allen’s star-studded film

PanARMENIAN.Net - Woody Allen has found a replacement for Bruce Willis in his next movie. Steve Carell officially joins the untitled Woody Allen project to take over Willis' role so that production will remain on schedule, AceShowbiz reports.

Allen's people confirmed to Deadline on Monday, August 24 that Willis had exited the project but cited no reason. There was a rumor that he was let go but many also said the movie had conflicting schedule with his upcoming commitment on Broadway adaptation of "Misery". It would have been Willis' first time working with Allen.

Carell joins the star-studded cast including Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg and Corey Stoll. Carrell has worked with Allen before in "Melinda and Melinda".

As usual, Allen's movie is kept under wraps. Stewart and Eisenberg were spotted filming a kissing scene in Santa Monica earlier this week. Shooting will continue in both New York and Los Angeles. No premiere date has been announced but at this pace, the movie is expected to be released next year.
