Video game giant Nintendo names new president

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nintendo has named the person who will succeed Satoru Iwata as company president, Digital Spy reports.

Tatsumi Kimishima has been named as the new head of the company, replacing the late Iwata, who died from a bile duct growth in July.

Kimishima is the former head of Nintendo America and currently boss of human resources.

He has overseen the introduction of the Wii console and has also worked for the Pokemon Company.

Shigeru Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda - who were temporarily in charge following Iwata's passing - have taken the roles of 'Creative Fellow' and 'Technology Fellow', according to Bloomberg.

One of Kimishima's first jobs will be to oversee the launch of Nintendo properties on mobile.

The company is also known to be working on a new console, which is being developed under the working title of NX.
