DirecTV, A24 to pick up Ellen Page drama “Into The Forest”

PanARMENIAN.Net - DirecTV and A24 are in talks to acquire North American rights to the apocalyptic drama “Into The Forest”, starring Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood as sisters, Variety reports.

The movie is set in a remote part of a Northern California forest on the brink of an apocalypse after a massive power outage leave the sisters fighting starvation and intruders. WME Global is handling the sale but has not closed a deal as of late Tuesday night.

The film has its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 19. Patricia Rozema directed from her own script, adapted from 1996 novel by Jean Hegland.

Max Minghella, Callum Keith Rennie, Michael Eklund and Sandy Sidhu also star. The film was shot last year in Vancouver.
