Melissa McCarthy’s upcoming comedy retitled “The Boss”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Universal Pictures has decided to call Melissa McCarthy “The Boss,” ditching the “Michelle Darnelle” title for her upcoming comedy, Variety reports.

The studio is keeping the release date of April 8. McCarthy plays a titan of industry sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. She finds that when she’s out and ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over will forgive and forget.

Kristen Bell and Peter Dinklage also star with McCarthy’s spouse Ben Falcone directing from a script he co-wrote with McCarthy and their Groundlings collaborator Steve Mallory.

The film is produced by McCarthy and Falcone through their On the Day productions and Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy through their Gary Sanchez Productions.
