China interested in Armenia-Iran railway construction: PMSeptember 22, 2015 - 18:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met Tuesday, September 22, with Premier of the State Council (Prime Minister) of China, Li Keqiang in Beijing. The Prime Ministers focused on the investment projects for the construction of Iran-Armenia railway and North-South Transport Corridor. Keqiang reiterated China's interest to the issue, expressing willingness in implementing joint projects for the development of Armenia's infrastructure, industry and other areas. Abrahamyan hailed Armenian-Chinese relations, stressing that strong ties with China are among Armenia's foreign policy priorities. Noting the active development of political dialogue between the two states in recent years, the Prime Ministers stressed the importance of further cooperation in the sectors of energy, transportation, chemical industry, agriculture, tourism, science, education, culture and civil aviation, as well as implementation of joint projects. In conclusion, Abrahamyan invited Keqiang on an official visit to Armenia.
