New Fierfox browser includes instant messagingSeptember 24, 2015 - 10:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Mozilla's latest web browser Firefox 41 is now live on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android, and the software includes built-in instant messaging for the first time, Digital Spy reports. Text chatter comes to the platform as an extension of Firefox Hello, a Skype-rivalling video communication tool that the company has been beta testing. Developed in partnership with Telefonica, Firefox Hello is based on WebRTC technology, which means users will be able to chat with contacts on Chrome or Opera once those browsers start supporting it. Firefox 41 also brings in the option to set a profile photograph on your desktop browser, so users will be able to see who they are chatting with. New features on Android include the option to switch between different providers in the search panel, play MP3s correctly, and swipe to close tabs on tablet.
