Olivia Wilde in "Meadowland" psychological drama trailer (video) September 24, 2015 - 11:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The first trailer for psychological drama "Meadowland" has surfaced online. The movie comes with a dark tone as it focuses on the story of a married couple in the aftermath of an unimaginable loss, AceShowbiz reports. Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson play Sarah and Phil, the couple whose son is kidnaped. After the tragedy, they both go off the rails, trying to handle the situation in their own way. According to the official synopsis, "after Sarah and Phil's son goes missing, months pass with little information and they each struggle in their own way to cope. Phil's more traditional route leads to an unexpected friendship, but also a precarious disconnect with the responsibilities of his job as a city cop. Teacher Sarah goes even farther overboard, struggling to keep herself in check beside the students, parents, family members, and officials that interrupt her search for answers." The film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival back in April, where Wilde and Wilson received rave reviews for their performances. "Meadowland" is the directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano. Also in the cast are Elisabeth Moss, Natasha Lyonne and Ty Simpkins. The psychological thriller will have a limited release in the U.S. on October 16.
