Jared Leto talks his role as Joker in

PanARMENIAN.Net - Jared Leto promised that he would be one scary Joker. The actor said that his upcoming role in "Suicide Squad" would be so insane that he may get locked away after people watch the movie, AceShowbiz reports.

Leto is known as a "method" actor, allegedly acting a little crazy even when the cameras were not rolling. Heath Ledger set the bar as Joker so high in "The Dark Knight" but Leto had been praised by his co-stars for his commitment to the DC Comics character as well.

During his set with 30 Seconds to Mars at Dubai Music Week, Leto commented on a fan's Batman shirt. "And to the wise-guy who turned up in a Batman shirt? You're really brave," Leto joked, before laughing. He then told the crowd, "I can't wait for you to see this - they're going to lock me away in a box after this movie comes out."

In the David Ayer movie, Leto stars opposite Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Will Smith, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis among others. Based on the DC comicbook, the story centers on the team of supervillains who are given a chance at redemption by the government. The catch: Their mission will probably kill them all.

"Suicide Squad" hits theaters August 05, 2016.
