Marion Cotillard crowns Michael Fassbender in new

PanARMENIAN.Net - Michael Fassbender gets crowned king by Marion Cotillard in a new clip from Macbeth, revealed exclusively through Digital Spy, the entertainment news agency reports.

Watch the Steve Jobs star recite the classic William Shakespeare line "we have scorched the snake, not killed it..." while Cotillard's Lady Macbeth lays the crown on his head.

The scene represents a quieter moment in the film, which has already earned film festival praise for its stunning, blood-thirsty battles and intense performances.

Fassbender, Cotillard and Macbeth director Justin Kurzel will soon be swapping Shakespeare for Assassin's Creed, the big screen version of Ubisoft's hit video game series.

Macbeth will open in cinemas in the UK on October 2 and December 4 in the U.S.
