Sony wants VR support for next Gran Turismo

PanARMENIAN.Net - While nobody has any idea when Gran Turismo 7 will be released, we do know that it could support virtual reality, Digital Spy reports.

Sony's Shuhei Yoshida told Eurogamer that the company has been testing out the tech on different games, and the racing genre appears to be a good fit.

In fact, tests have been going so well that Yoshida wants VR support for the next Gran Turismo.

"Many trial tests we've been doing, some genres just work fine," he said. "One of those genres is racing games.

"So when Gran Turismo comes out on PS4, I'd like to see it support PlayStation VR, yeah."

Gran Turismo 7 is known to be in development, but Sony is yet to officially show it off and hasn't set a release date.

The company is also not done with Gran Turismo 6, which just added a Course Maker mode via a new app.

Sony recently renamed its Project Morpheus VR device. It's now known as PlayStation VR and will be released next year.
