Digitec 2015: Ameriabank unveils 2 new money transfer systems

PanARMENIAN.Net - At Yerevan-hosted Digitec Expo 2015 high-tech exhibit, Ameriabank CJSC unveiled two innovational services: TV Banking service and a new system of online transfers.

The first service, to be implemented in cooperation with Ucom Company, will be launched by November 1, while the second one has been operating since early September.

"Those who have access to both Ameriabank and Ucom services, can make direct utility payments through their TVs," Burastan Movsisyan, the head of Technology and Operations unit at Ameriabank, told a press conference.

The second service will excite major interest in the customers, especially those in the Armenian Diaspora, Movsisyan said adding that the new system of online transfers will be able to compete with Unistream and Money Gram.

“By merely accessing Ameriabank website's corresponding section, the customer of any bank from any country will be able to transfer money to any Ameriabank customer,” Movsisyan said, noting that MasterCard, Visa or ArCa cards from any bank can be used while making a transfer, while the receiver should own an Ameriabank card.

Customers don't need to visit the bank, she said, instead just registering and receiving an encrypted code that will ensure absolutely secure transfers.
