Brendan Gleeson, Jeremy Irons join

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Assassin's Creed" is adding two more actors to its growing cast ensemble. Brendan Gleeson is tapped to play a father to the main hero played by Michael Fassbender and Jeremy Irons is cast as a father to Marion Cotillard's character, according to AceShowbiz.

Based on a popular Ubisoft video game of the same name, the film will not retell any of the existing games, but rather will introduce new characters into the same world. It centers on Callum Lynch and open in North American theaters on December 21, 2016.

Lynch discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society through unlocked genetic memories that allow him to relive the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. After gaining incredible knowledge and skills he's poised to take on the oppressive Knights Templar in the present day.
