Defense Minister, CSTO Chief: military drills in Armenia successful

PanARMENIAN.Net - Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) hailed Indestructible Brotherhood 2015 military drills, held on September 30 - October 4 in Armenia.

Peacekeeping exercises Indestructible Brotherhood-2015 were held on September 30-Octover 4 in Armenia to improve the operational and combat training of forces and means of the collective security system.

“The Armenian Defense Ministry took serious steps to create necessary conditions for the activities of peacekeeping units,” Nikolai Bordyuzha said.

According to him, the CSTO Collective Security Council, Presidents of the CSTO member states are making special efforts to establish an effective power system for the Organization. Bordyuzha said that a number of serious measures aimed at the combat training of CSTO Collective Forces were taken this year alone.

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Nikolai Bordyuzha discussed the process of implementation of decisions, made at a CSTO summit in Dushanbe, as well as issues concerning Armenia's chairmanship of the Organization.

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said, in turn, that the established goals were successfully accomplished in the course of the exercise. He noted that Armenia hosted the drills of CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces for the first time.
