Ameriabank introduces BankWorld omnichannel banking platform

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank, in cooperation with Ireland-based CR2, is introducing a new BankWorld omnichannel banking platform which marks CR2’s first project in Armenia.

Ameriabank will thus offer cutting-edge banking solutions available 24/7 via the self-service channels including the ATM and Kiosk network as well as the Internet and Mobile Banking channels.

Kieran Kilcullen, Member of the Executive Board, Chief Commercial Officer at CR2 and Artak Hanesyan, Chairman of the Management Board-General Director at Ameriabank signed the agreement on Monday, October 5.

CR2 is a software company specialized in innovative self-service banking solutions. CR2’s multichannel platform, named BankWorld, delivers a complete suite of integrated channels including ATM, POS, Internet, Mobile and Kiosk through one single unified self-service platform. It thus provides a consistent user experience and a consolidated view of all customer account information at all customer touch points. Headquartered in Ireland, CR2 has a network of offices and representatives across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The company has more than 100 customers in over 60 countries worldwide.

According to Hanesyan, the BankWorld platform will become a novelty in the Armenian financial market, with all remote banking channels to be unified in a single platform providing clients with maximum convenience and standardizing access to all services via any remote banking channel.

“Welcome to Armenia, CR2!” Hanesyan said. “This initiative is aimed at the fulfillment of one of Ameriabank’s strategic goals – offering our clients full package of modern self-service and remote banking solutions through the use of cutting edge technologies. The software will open new horizons for remote banking and self-service software users and contribute to the development of remote banking culture in Armenia.”

The system has a number of new self-service banking features.

According to the head of Ameriabank's Technology and Operations unit, Burastan Movsisyan, the system allows to auto-tune both the self-service banking device/remote channels and the product offered to the right client segment, ensuring maximum usability and individualized service.

"ATMs thus become personalized service points from where clients can easily manage all of their bank accounts, submit various orders and application forms to the bank as well as perform a number of transactions which were previously restricted to the Internet Banking, in addition to being targeted with personalized offers relevant to the customer’s profile," Movsisyan said.

The service also improves the capabilities of the Internet and Mobile Banking channels both for individuals and legal entities, ensuring a wider range of transactions to be deployed at convenience and a modern segment-specific interface.

"The customers will be able to perform person-to-person (P2P) payments via the Internet and Mobile Banking channels as well as other self-service touch points using the recipient’s phone number or other authentication data. Customers will be able to withdraw the received amount from Ameriabank’s ATMs without having to use any payment cards," Movsisyan said, adding that the adoption of the BankWorld omnichannel banking platform will be completed within a year.

Kieran Kilcullen, Member of the Executive Board, Chief Commercial Officer at CR2 said the deal marks CR2’s first project in Armenia.

“I am delighted to welcome Ameriabank as our first customer in Armenia. Today’s deal will undoubtedly help the bank reestablish its leading position in the market. Ameriabank’s customers will experience fast, convenient banking in addition to getting access to the widest range of services in the market," Kilcullen said.

Ameriabank CJSC is a dynamically developing bank and one of the major and most stable financial institutions in Armenia. The first investment bank in Armenia, Ameriabank has been offering to its clients a wide range of innovative banking services since 2007. Ameriabank is a universal bank rendering corporate, retail and investment services in a comprehensive package of banking solutions.
