Android 6.0 Marshmallow begins rollout to Nexus users

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nexus device owners are receiving a tasty treat from Google, as its Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system is being dished out right now, Digital Spy reports.

The update is winging its way to Nexus 5 and 6 smartphones, as well as Nexus 7 and 9 tablets, and the Nexus Player entertainment system over the air.

Android 6.0 will come preloaded on Google's new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones, which were announced at an event on September 29.

The software includes a wealth of new features, such as support for fingerprint scanners, an improved recommendations engine and enhanced voice support.

Marshmallow's rollout to other Android devices - from the likes of Samsung, Sony and LG - is expected to be staggered, if past updates are anything to go by.

Some Nexus users are likely to receive it before others, depending on their location and service provider.
