Robert Englund horror-comedy “Funhouse Massacre” release date set

PanARMENIAN.Net - AMC Independent has scheduled a No. 13 theatrical release in up to 20 markets for horror-comedy “The Funhouse Massacre”, Variety has learned exclusively.

The film, directed by Andy Palmer, stars horror icon Robert Englund, Jere Burns, Scottie Thompson, Clint Howard and Courtney Gains. The film was produced by Warner Davis through his Petri Entertainment.

Englund is best known for playing the character Freddy Krueger in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” film series.

The story involves a group of escaped serial killers who descend on a giant funhouse on Halloween and begin creating carnage. The only people left to stop them are a ragtag group of college kids, a clueless deputy and the local sheriff.

The film made its world premiere at HorrorHound in Indianapolis, where it won both Best Feature and Best Special Effects for Robert Kurtzman, known for his work on “It Follows,” “Scream” and “Army of Darkness.”
