Russian Defense Ministry starts drills in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Command of the Russian military base in Armenia started bilateral battalion tactical drills, Russia’s Southern Military District press service reports.

“The exercise combines performance of special tactical tasks by armored warfare and mechanized infantry units with shooting from firearms, combat vehicle weapons and tanks at high altitudes,” the statement said.

Fourth generation MiG-29 modern fighter jets take part in the drills, monitored by drones.

The exercise will be held throughout the week in the training grounds of Kamhud and Alagyaz.
