Microsoft's Cortana app for iOS gearing up for public betaNovember 7, 2015 - 13:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Microsoft's Halo-themed personal assistant Cortana has edged closer to release for iPhone as the Redmond firm is gearing up for public beta testing, Digital Spy reports. The trials are limited to China and the U.S. for the time being, but they give us an idea of how far along the iOS version of the software is. "We want help from our Windows Insiders to make sure she's a great personal assistant on iOS too," said Microsoft in a blog post. "We're looking for a limited number of people to get their hands on an early version of the app." Cortana for iOS devices resembles her counterparts on Android and Windows Phone, but lacks some of the features of the latter edition, like 'Hey, Cortana' voice activation. But she will be able to set reminders, schedule events, and send emails on your behalf. Users in the U.S. and China can register their interest in beta testing Cortana for iOS by filling out an online survey for Microsoft.
