TNT renews “Murder in the First” drama for Season 3

PanARMENIAN.Net - TNT has renewed Murder in the First, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The serialized drama created by Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal will return for a third season on the Turner-owned cable network.

The series, which stars Kathleen Robertson and Taye Diggs, will return in 2016 after averaging 2 million viewers during its sophomore run.

The drama, which wrapped its second season in the summer, was considered a bubble show given TNT and TBS topper Kevin Reilly's push for more edgier fare but the cabler had to make a decision before the cast's options ran out at year's end.

Murder in the First joins a roster of dramas at TNT including Rizzoli & Isles, The Last Ship, Major Crimes, Legends, The Librarians, Public Morals, Agent X and the upcoming Alienist series.
