Ford's new Sync Connect app lets you start your car remotelyNovember 18, 2015 - 12:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ford's latest mobile app hints at a future where app-connected cars are the norm, Digital Spy reports. The new Sync Connect app pairs with your compatible vehicle and lets you monitor and control it from anywhere in the world. Controls go beyond simple door locking - motorists can even start their engine in-app and use GPS to pick out their vehicle in a crowded car park. You can also keep tabs on fuel, oil and battery levels from your smartphone, but that's fairly commonplace on cars from the likes of Tesla. The first Ford motor to support Sync Connect will be the 2017 Escape, a cheaper option than a Tesla if you're after app-connected features. "The compact SUV segment is the largest and most competitive in the United States, and the new Escape delivers even more of what our customers want - more technology they can really use to make their daily drive safer and easier," said Ford president Joe Hinrichs.
