Tesla recalls Model S electric cars

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tesla has issued a recall on all Model S electric cars after one owner reported a seatbelt malfunction, Digital Spy reports.

The incident occurred somewhere in Europe when a person in the vehicle's front passenger seat turned around to speak to someone in the back, only to find that her safety belt had become unbuckled.

Nobody was injured and this appears to be an isolated case, but safety-conscious Tesla isn't taking any chances.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and its global counterparts have been informed about the issue, but have not forced Tesla to issue a recall, reports Jalopnik.

The automaker has voluntarily recalled all 90,000 of the Model S cars that are in circulation to ensure that its customers are not at risk.

Model S owners are advised to bring their vehicle to their nearest Tesla service centre where a technician will give it a once-over for free.
