Samsung Galaxy S7 to add microSD supportNovember 24, 2015 - 10:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Samsung Galaxy S6 saw Sammy 'do an Apple' and ditch microSD expansion. According to latest reports, however, the Samsung Galaxy S7 could be about to fix that shortcoming, Digital Spy said. Reports out of Italy have suggested that the Galaxy S7 will see Samsung return to the days of expandable storage, adding a microSD card slot to the side on its upcoming, metal-bodied flagship. While the Galaxy S line had long supported expandable storage, last year saw the Korean manufacturer turn its back on microSD support in favour of an iPhone 6S-style approach of variable, locked storage options. The S6 came in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage capacities, although the larger models gave users' wallets a serious kicking. It is not clear how the Galaxy S7 will implement the storage expansion options, but it is believed it will add a pop-out slot to the phone's metal edging as opposed to reverting to the ugly days of removable backs. The latest in a recent flurry of Galaxy S7 rumours, the upcoming handset has been tipped for unveiling on February 21, with the device to run a QHD display, improved 20-megapixel camera and Android 6.0 Marshmallow direct from the box.
