Kevin Bacon to reprise his role in

PanARMENIAN.Net - A TV reboot of "Tremors" is in the works with Kevin Bacon attached to reprise his role as Valentine "Val" McKee. The 57-year-old actor is also exec producing the series reboot with Andrew Miller ("The Secret Circle") tapped to write the adaptation, AceShowbiz reports.

Kevin, who is returning to the franchise after 25 years, posted on Twitter a throwback photo of him and his wife Kyra Sedgwick on the set of 1990's "Tremors". "Me and @kyrasedgwick 9 months pregnant 26 years ago on the #Tremors set. Might be time to head back to Perfection," he wrote alongside the snap.

Universal Cable Productions and Blumhouse Productions are developing the series reboot based on the original 1990 film about giant man-eating worms which spawned four direct-to-video sequels. It was followed with a TV spin-off called "Tremors: The Series" starring Michael Gross which aired for one season on what was then the Sci Fi Channel in 2003.

Earlier this year, Kevin said he would love to revisit his character in "Tremors". "I'd love to do something else with 'Tremors' and revisit the character 25 years later," he shared, "Part of what's great about that movie is there are next to no digital effects. The monsters are done with puppetry, and it's still off, funny and scary - it's a cool accomplishment."
