Adele set to smash another record with new album “25”

PanARMENIAN.Net - If you think there's no more record Adele's "25" could break after the album opened with massive first-week sales, think again. The LP, which debuted at No. 1 on this week's Billboard 200 with 3.38 million copies, is now aiming for another week at the top slot with the biggest second-week sales ever, AceShowbiz reports.

According to Billboard, "25" had sold over 840,000 copies in the U.S. as of December 1. Industry forecasters predicted that the project could very well surpass a million copies when its second tracking week ended on December 3.

Should "25" hit the 1 million mark, it will be the first time since Nielsen began supporting Billboard's charts in 1991 that an album sells more than one million copies in two different weeks. The exact number will be revealed after Nielsen finishes processing its weekly data this weekend.

Adele's comeback effort has been nothing but a big success. It's led by the single "Hello", which is currently spending its fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100. The song and its visuals have also broken multiple records including Vevo's record for the most-viewed video in 24 hours.
